Inside we celebrate the launch of The Quest for Indigenous Recognition and mark the beginning of a new chapter for the Indigenous Australian Dictionary of Biography. We also celebrate the publication of Melanie Nolan’s Biography: An Historiography, Stephen Wilk’s ‘Order, Order!’, and a new special issue of the Journal of Biography and History. Pat Buckridge is awarded the ADB Medal for his long and distinguished service, and we pay tribute to two esteemed scholars of convict history, Trish Downes and Babette Smith. You can also read Chris Wallace’s Seymour Lecture and hear about some of the other projects that have kept the NCB/ADB busy this year.
